My Biggest Piece of Advice!

My biggest piece of advice

Drum roll please ...

My biggest tip is to enjoy the journey, have fun and go at your own pace. Ok, so maybe I have 3 top tips!

Like I've said before, eating a plant-based diet can look different for everyone.

Have fun exploring new foods, new flavours, new recipes and learning new things. During this transition you are going to learn what works for you, your body, your lifestyle and your family.

Cooking and eating food should be a source of enjoyment, not stress. The point here is not to strive for perfection, it is to start where you're at and take actionable steps that feel good and work for you.

Remind yourself why you are wanting to make this change. Don't feel pressure to adhere to a label or allow others to make you feel bad about your food choices.

Maybe your goal is to full transition to 100% plant-based or maybe you are wanting to learn how to eat more plants and cut back on your animal products ... wherever you are, it is A-OK.

Connect with people on the same journey as you!

When we feel like we have a community around us that is supportive it is a total game changer.

This is one of the main reasons that I created this online community. Not just to educate, but to connect others who are on the same path and to expand your support system.

PS ... Reminder to join the Eat to Nourish Facebook community!

PPS ... If you are currently on medications for the management of high blood pressure or to help manage your blood sugars, it is important that you consult with your doctor and make them aware of your diet and lifestyle changes. As you change your diet and lifestyle your medication needs may change, so it is important that your doctor is aware.
